ADDENDUM TO RFP DOCUMENTS

RFP – 24 – 09 - Competitive Contracting-Ice Skating Rink Operator Concession at ResilienCity Park 2nd attempt

This Addendum # 1 dated March 8, 2024, is issued to modify the above-mentioned RFP, and is hereby made part of the RFP documents. Please attach this Addendum #1 to the original documents in your possession and ensure same is included in your proposal. This addendum includes:
Q1. While we are potentially interested in bidding on the operation of the rink, there are many unknowns. Including a list of what is to be provided by the City, and what the operator must provide. Could you please provide a list?
A1. The City shall provide the leased space for seasonal ice-rink operations as well as the permanently installed mechanical equipment listed in the technical specifications, including:
 Piping for the chiller connection to the ice rink floor
 Hose bibs
 Hot water supply
 Continuous three-phase, 480-volt, 230-amp, electric power source and single phase, 110-volt power source
The concessionaire shall provide all other equipment, materials, and personnel to operate and manage a seasonal ice-skating rink at ResilienCity Park.
Q2. We would not be interested in a 1yr term as stated in the RFP. Are you interested in a multi-year agreement?
A2. The City Council shall approve all contracts including a lease agreement by resolution prior to the granting of a lease by ordinance. Green Acres shall also approve the lease agreement. The initial term of the lease agreement may be up to five years if proposed by the concessionaire and approved by Green Acres and the City Council, with the option to extend subject to further City approval for an additional five-year term if the investment by the lessee exceeds $500,000.
This addendum is posted on the City of Hoboken website to ensure compliance.
The City will not accept any further RFI/questions at this time.
There are no other changes to the RFP documents as part of this addendum.
