The Mercer County Department of Human Services, Office on Homeless Services, is accepting proposals for County and State Re-entry Funds for a two-year period from January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2025, in the amount of $120,000 per year ($55,000 County Funds and $65,000 State Funds). The funding allocation is contingent upon the availability of funds and the passage of the 2024 and 2025 Mercer County and State budgets.
This project will support Mercer County residents experiencing homelessness, some of whom are citizens re-entering the community from incarceration. The purpose of the project is to assist those residents with obtaining vital identification needed to secure permanent housing that includes but is not limited to; NJ and out-of-state driver and non-driver licenses, birth certificates, marriage licenses, etc. This service would be administered by a designated subcontractor for services for Mercer County residents.
