The Mercer County Department of Human Services, Office on Homeless Services, is accepting proposals for State Re-entry Funds for a two-year period from January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2025. The funding allocation is contingent upon the availability of funds and the passage of the 2024 and 2025 Mercer County and State budgets.
Funding will be made available for a Returning Citizens to the Community Program (RCCP): Emergency Shelter Placement as a bridge to Rapid Re-housing (RRH) that assists unhoused Mercer County residents who are returning to the community from a secured care facility or have recent justice-involved history in the amount of $592,686 ($296,343 State Re-entry Funds per year). The purpose of the project is to provide housing first rapid rehousing and bridged housing services to the aforementioned population who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless.
