This is notification that the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), Sea-Based Weapon Systems, intends to

award a sole source contract to Lockheed Martin, 199 Borton Landing Road, Moorestown, NJ 08057, in

support of the Aegis Ashore Missile Defense Test Center Aegis Combat System and associated

equipment. The anticipated period of performance is 66 months after contract award.

The statutory authority for the intended contract is 10 U.S.C. § 3204 (a)(1) as implemented by FAR

6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy the Agency

Requirements.

This notice of proposed contract action as required by FAR 5.201(b)(1)(i) and DFARS PGI 206.302-1(d) is

not a request for proposals. Sources sought notice MDA22ABSSN02 was published on SAM.gov on May

18, 2022 with a description of the requirement. Based on the information received from the sources

sought notice, it is determined that Lockheed Martin is the only responsible source capable of meeting

the MDA’s requirement for operational support of the Aegis Ashore Missile Defense Test Complex Aegis

Combat System located at the Pacific Missile Range Facility in Kauai, Hawaii. Requests for

subcontracting opportunities should be directed to the prime, Lockheed Martin.
