Description

The scope of work is attached to the Contract.

General

1. Coordinate with the facility any required storage areas for contractor/subcontractors.

USPS is not obligated to provide storage areas inside or outside if not available. If

storage areas provided at parking lot, Contractor is required to temporary fence his

storage area at parking lot.

2. Full-time Field Superintendent: In addition to requirements of Clause B-42 Performance

and Superintendence by the Contractor, Contractor shall submit with his bid a resume for

the designated full-time superintendent(s) that shows his/her capability and expertise to

supervise and coordinate this type of construction project including skills to control

construction schedule, budget, manpower, coordination among subcontractors,

understanding plans and specifications, and make decisions. He/she should also request

pre-installation meeting to all major work such as mechanical, electrical, control, and

commissioning to ensure advance understanding of construction documents and facility

rules, operations, and safety. Superintendent shall coordinate all phasing work with

USPS facility management prior to proceeding with shutting down of Mechanical

Equipment and any other equipment that will affect adversely the postal operations.

3. Acceptance/Warranty: USPS will accept each phase completed as described in the

construction documents for beneficial Occupancy. One-year Project Warranty will start

after acceptance the last phase of the project.

4. Provide record drawings in .DWG format illustrating final as-constructed condition of new

constructions as well as documenting refurbishment activities.
