NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Philadelphia intends to solicit

BAE (0D0D0) for the repair of (3) items in support of the Common Avionics platform for the Low Probability Intercept Altimeter (LPIA) System. The intention of this solicitation is to award a firm fixed price, five year, Long Term Contract. The contract will include repair of the parts listed in the attachment. The government intends to contract on a sole source basis with the above mentioned source. They are the only known source of supply for these items. This acquisition is being processed in accordance with Part 15 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). The applicable NAICS code is 334511. The requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR 6.302-1--only limited responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. All responsible sources may identify their interest and capability by responding to the requirement or submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal. Based on the market research, the Government's need cannot be met by a type of item customarily available in the marketplace. FAR Part 12 shall not be used. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
