Description

The Contractor shall design, furnish and install an electronic building sign mounted on the left face (sign will face the street) of Building C-29, NWS Earle. The contractor shall provide installation services in accordance Statement of Work and in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications. This project includes electrical connection of the sign to the existing power source by

the contractor. Work shall include but is not limited to the following:

1. Sign must single sided LED cabinet with full color capabilities. LED display shall be a minimum 4’0” x 9’0” with the cabinet itself being a maximum 4’6” x 10’0”: Sign must able to display custom text, images, and videos. Contractor must submit complete specifications of proposed sign with their proposal.

2. Sign structure must be a wall bracket mount with an industrial powder coat finish, black in color. Must have a minimum wind load rating of 120 mph. Contractor must submit with the proposal, all details of the anchorage system for attaching the sign to the building. Contractor must submit complete specifications of proposed mount with their proposal.

3. Sign will be located on the left face of the building approximately 13ft above grade centered between the first and second floor

windows. Specific location of the sign shall be determined by the POC. Any wall penetrations shall be sealed with exterior grade caulking to ensure a water-tight seal.

4. Communication method, if required by the selected sign, shall be compliant with services provided by the installation if possible. If a different communication method is required, contractor must submit complete specifications of the new method with their proposal.

5. Power source shall be one 20 amp, 120 volts circuit and will be provided by Earle Public Works Department within 3ft of the sign location. Contractor shall connect sign to power source.

6. If contractor is proposing an equal to the listed product, contractor shall submit with the response to this RFQ, the complete specifications of the equal product. These specifications will be reviewed by the Contract Officer and POC for the

possible use on this project.
